Your Day Of Daintree Memories

Explore the Sights & Sounds of Daintree on a Tour & River Cruise

Experience this magnificent area rather than just looking, with our small group tours.  The Daintree Rainforest is a truly magical place. The best way to enjoy this area is with an experienced guide who can not only show you the sights, but also explain how this environment works to give you a true understanding on what makes the Daintree, and indeed all rainforests, so special. So sit back, relax, and let us take care of your day.

  • Your day begins at 7:30 in the morning with your guide taking you out to the beautiful Mossman Gorge. You are given an introduction to the rainforest, while slowing moving along the walkway. Learning about the forest, listening to the birds, and looking to see what creatures are out and about.
  • Next, we head along the Captain Cook Hwy through the township of Mossman and past the cane fields up to the mighty Daintree River. Crossing over on the ferry, and then it is off towards Cape Tribulation, the area famous for the saying where the “Rainforest meets the Reef.” You have time for a walk along the beach and to the lookout, an area steeped in history that is explained by your knowledgeable tour guide.
  • We then head back south via the Daintree Ice-cream company, stopping off at Alexandra Lookout. Great views here over the Daintree River mouth and out to Low Isles, Port Douglas and beyond.
  • Off to lunch in Daintree Village where you have a wide choice, ranging from steak to Barramundi, or even a crocodile burger!
  • Next is a cruise along the mighty Daintree River enjoying the riverine environment, all the while keeping an eye out for the area’s wildlife. We may see a snake laying on a branch of a tree, a green tree frog, or the estuarine crocodile.
  • Lastly, it is off to switch vehicles into our soft-top Land Rover for a 4WD ride along the tracks and through the creeks of River Home Cattle Station towards the stunning Cassowary Falls. This an exclusive site, just for our small group to enjoy.
    • The waterfall has been featured in various television shows, so as you can imagine, it is a very special location.
    • Go for a swim, feed the fish and turtles, or just sit back and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. What a memorable way to end the day before heading back home to Port Douglas!
